My name is Chika Ugwuanyi
About Me

Hi! I’m Chika, an ML and AI specialist.
I am currently working as a Data Scientist at IT Skills and a volunteer AI Engineer at No More Waste Technologies UK.
I was a graduate student at Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria, with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
I have a master’s degree in information and network security from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK.
My PhD was in Computer and Information Science with an interest in Machine Learning Interpretability. I was supervised by Dr Marilyn Lennon and Dr Richard Bellingham.
I previously worked at Aridhia Informatics Ltd in 2015 as a graduate web developer and Harriot Watt University in 2014 as an intern Web Developer before venturing into Data Science in 2016 for my PhD.
Research Interest
I am currently interested in developing and validating a proof of concept in ML Interpretability and AI Safety though new ideas are welcome. Below are some topics I am interested in at the moment:
(XAI) Explainable AI-Driven Dynamic Microsegmentation for Zero Trust Enterprise Networks.
Rigorous Statistical Anomaly Detection with Trustworthy AI for Automated Biosecurity Synthesis Screening
A Defensive Threat Modeling Framework for AI-Augmented Manipulation of Epidemiological Decision Ecosystems: Structural Surveillance and Resilience-Oriented Interventions
Adversarially Robust Scalable Oversight: Integrating Heterogeneous AI Critics and Automated Monitors for Human Supervision of More Capable AI Systems
Collaborators
I am open to collaborations and welcome those with complex AI safety questions to reach out.
